Caribbean luxury resorts seem to be in a close competition on who builds the biggest, most state-of-the-art pool – which, of course, can only act to the benefit one the numerous sun-seeking tourists. If you fancy a Caribbean escape any time soon and you are wandering where to swim and splash with style, then you might want to check out these spectacular pools in the Caribbean:

Couples Negril, Jamaica

It’s hard enough to compete with the silver sands of Negril, but add a charming complex of colonial style beach villas and a huge, crystal clear pool and you’ve obtained an idyllic couple’s retreat. Surrounded by palm trees and just a few steps away from the famous 7-Mile beach, the pool at Couples Resort beach is one in a million.

Riu Palace Tropical, Jamaica

And just to prove you how fabulous the beaches of Jamaica are, here’s another beach resort in Negril whose pool is worth mentioning. Riu Palace Tropical is a five-star all inclusive resort that has borrowed the elegance of the ancient Roman spas. Its enormous pool is guarded by white columns and sculptures and overlooks the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Famous for its water sports and scuba diving facilities, this resort in Grenada is also admired for its pools. The very authentic looking cascade is the great attraction of the Fantasy pool. The 300 sq ft pool is surrounded by tropical flowers and lush vegetation and provided with a chic bar and grill. A smaller pool called the Sunset pool will attract the privacy-seekers.

Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

Save the best for the final, says one of the unwritten rules of traveling. Well, I cannot think of a more spectacular display of pools and artificial water falls than those surrounding the iconic towers at Atlantic Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas. A favourite with families, friend groups and couples alike, Atlantis Resorts provides various types of accommodation, countless activities and no less than 11 public access pools.  The Baths pool is by far the biggest with approximately 750 000 gallons of water and bizarre stone sculptures, but there are also grotto pools, cascading pools, as well as 3 kids pools.
